BEN SIMON
President
Ben Simon, elected as president of the Norfolk Jewish
Community Council, has been active with the organization
since its inception. IIe served as First Vice-President prior
to his election as President. He is a f )rmer United JeWish
Fund Campaign Chairman and has been heading the Insur-
ance Division for" some time. He is a member of the Board of
Directors of the Council and has served on its Budget for two
years. He is a past president of B'nai B'rith and has been
active in Jewish community affairs and in general civic affairs
for many years. At present he serves on the Executive Com-
mittee of the Central Atlantic States Region of the Council
of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds.

DR.D~DLEY COOPER

Dr. Dudley Cooper was the 1946
General Chairman of the United
Jewish Fund Campaign. Prior to
A that time he was active with the
Fund as its Initial Gifts Chairman.
He has been for several years the
Chairman of the USO-JWB in Nor-
folk. He is a past president of the
B'nai B'rith and active in its af-
fairs. In addition to being active in
4 the local campaign, Dr. Cooper is
State Chairman of the U. J. A.,
on the Quota Committee of that
• organization and on its National
Council. He has just accepted a Co-
Chairmanship of the National Jew-
elers Division of the United Jewish
Appeal.
ALAN J. HOFHEIMER
Second Vice-President
Alan J. Hofheimer is a prominent
attorney who has been interested
and active in civic affairs for a
number of years. He is a past pres-
ident of Ohef Sholom Temple and
served in that office for three
years. He is interested in inter-
faith activities and is active with
the local Round Table of the Na-
tional Conference of Christians and
Jews as a co-chairman. He is a
member of B'nai B'rith and several
non-sectarian organizations. He is
president of the Hague Club.

JOSEPH L. KANTOR
Secretary
Joseph L. Kantor has participat-
ed in communal affairs for some
time. He has served as head of
the Beverages Division of the
United Jewish Fund for several
years and helped greatly to make
the a~nual clampaign a success. Mr.
Kantor is Vice-President of Lodge
No. 1195 of B'nai B'rith and did an
outstanding job as program chair-
man of that organization. He is a
member of several civivc organiza-
tions and interested in general com-
munity affairs.
LESTER S. SHERRICK
Treasurer
Lester S. Sherrick has been re-
elected for another term as treas-
urer. He has given much time and
effort to the Jewish Community
Council. He is a past co-chairma~
of the United Jewish Fund, is past
president of the B'nai B'rith and
has been active in that organization
for many years. He is very active.

member of the National Council of
the U. J. A. and a member of the
Resolutions Committee of the State
